Rules

General Rules :

As soon as we receive your bet transfer, we will process it within a few seconds. Refresh the Bet Status page periodically to determine the status of your bet.

If the status is 'No bets were received', it means that your bet transfer has not been delivered yet. If the status is 'Pending', it means that we received your bet and it is being processed.

If your bet transfer is delayed by the Bitcoin, Litecoin, Dogecoin, Dash or Ether network or by your wallet or for any other reason, it will be processed as soon as it is received. Receiving time is defined by the time in which the transaction is recorded in our Bitcoin / Litecoin / Dogecoin / Dash QT client as indicated by the time stamp in the transactions history. Under some rare circumstances this might be later than the time recorded on the block chain.

The way your bet is processed depends on the selected betting option. Current available options are 'Firm Odds', 'Flexible Odds' and 'Negotiate Odds'.

Learn more about our betting options and how they are processed.

If the event is already over by the time your bet transfer is received, your bet will be refunded regardless of the result.

If your bet is confirmed it will stand. If you placed it by mistake and wish to cancel it, please review our cancellation policy. We reserve the right to void bets that were confirmed in error after the result was already determined or at obviously wrong odds. If your bet is rejected, it will be refunded as soon as there is 1 confirmation for the coin transaction that you sent.

Once the bet status is either 'Confirmed' or 'Rejected', it can not be changed the other way around. A rejected bet can not turn into a confirmed bet and a confirmed bet can not turn into a rejected bet. A rejected bet will always get refunded and a confirmed bet will always get settled.

In the rare event that our system is malfunctioning while your bet is received, the bet status will remain 'Pending' or 'No bets were received', meaning it is neither confirmed nor rejected. In such a case, our system will attempt to confirm the bet as soon as it is back up. If the event is already over by that time, your bet will be refunded regardless of the result.

All bets will be settled on the official result of the relevant governing body regardless of any subsequent disqualification or amendment to the result.

Some bets might appear without all possible selections. When in doubt please contact support for clarification before betting. All bets stand even if the winning selection was not displayed or otherwise was not available for betting at the time of bet placement.

We reserve the right to confiscate wagers when we believe that fraudulent activity is involved, including but not limited to, hacking attempts, double spends and odds manipulation. By placing a bet at DirectBet you agree that in case of any dispute DirectBet decision is final.

Dead Heats

The Dead Heat Rule applies to bets where there are more winners than expected, unless stated otherwise in the Specific Sports Rules and/or the Bet Information.

For each bet on a relevant winning selection, the payout is reduced in proportion by multiplying it by the sum of the number of winners expected, divided by the number of actual winners.

For example, assume there is a dead heat for first place between three horses and you have bet on one of the winners for a stake of 3 BTC at odds of 4.0. When the event is settled, your payout of 12 BTC is multiplied by 1/3 (i.e. the number of expected winners (1) divided by the number of actual winners (3)) for a total reduced payout of 4 BTC.

The dead heat rule applies to tied positions only. As an example, consider a bet on player X to finish the tournament in one of the top 5 places when two players tie for 5th place. Only bets on the two players tied for 5th will be subject to the dead heat rule, in which case their payouts will be halved, while payouts for the top 4 players will not be affected.

Specific Sports Rules :

Below are specific rules for each sport. If you encounter bets that are not covered by the rules here, please contact us for clarification before betting. No refunds will be issued for misunderstanding the bet rules.

All-In Poker Flips

All-In Poker Flips is a Provably Fair block-chain based Texas Hold'em Poker betting game where you go all-in pre-flop with a hand of your choice against any hand you choose.

What Provably Fair means is that there is no way we can cheat you by shuffling the deck in our favor. The shuffle of the deck is completely random and you can verify that after the completion of the game.

To verify the shuffle of the deck, go to your Bet Status, reveal the bet secret and then click on Verify next to the result.

To achieve a Provably Fair All-In Poker Flips the following technique is used :

When you order an All-in Poker Flip bet we generate a random secret that is used to shuffle the deck. Obviously we can not reveal the secret before the deck is shuffled because this will allow you to know in advance the outcome of the game. Therefore, we scramble the secret in a special technique called hashing using SHA256 cryptographic algorithm and present the hashed secret in the Bet Status page. The only way to reproduce the hashed secret is by hashing the original secret. Later on, after the game is over, we will reveal the original secret used, and you will be able to hash it yourself and verify that the result is identical to the hashed secret presented to you before the game. This will prove that we did indeed used the secret that was designated to your bet.

To ensure that we don't know in advance the outcome of the game, we add another random value which is not in our control, and that is the transaction ID of your bet transfer, as it appears in the block chain.

The 5 community cards (Flop, Turn and River) are then determined as follows :

We create a string that includes your bet transfer transaction ID followed by the number of the bet in the transaction followed by the original secret. If your bet transfer transaction includes a single bet, the number of the bet is 1, otherwise if you send multiple bets in the same transaction the bet number is the index number of the bet output in the transaction where the first bet gets the number 1 and all non bets outputs are not counted. We hash the string result using SHA512 cryptographic algorithm. The result is a long random string with 128 characters. Each pair of characters represents a card. The first character in each pair is the card rank and the second character is the card suit.

We take the card rank character as an Hexadecimal Digit and convert it to a decimal number. We then add 1 to that number. The result is the card rank, where 1 is an ace, 2 - 10 is the equivalent ranked card, 11 is a Jack, 12 is a Queen and 13 is a King. If the number comes out higher than 13, we ignore the card and move on to the next one.

Next we take the card suit character as an Hexadecimal Digit and convert it to a decimal number. We divide that number by 4 and discard all digits after the decimal point. If the result is 0 the suit is Spade, if it is 1 the suit is Heart, if it is 2 the suit is Diamond and if it is 3 the suit is Club.

If the card is already out in one of the hands or the community cards, we ignore it and move to the next card.

In the unlikely event where the 5 community cards could not be determined from the deck string due to too many duplicated cards, we hash the deck string again using SHA512 and repeat the process until all 5 community cards are determined.

As an example, take a look at this bet :

We create a string that includes your bet transfer transaction ID followed by the number of the bet in the transaction (in this case it is 1) followed by the original secret : d405b0ba959b171165d59c5ed827726f408e6d3e9880de3a6f401a686b09fc3510e0bb83d3ec788fd147bd9374946bf75ebb6865e7e81c5ca6919b9c5d7f096e0

We then hash it using SHA512 cryptographic algorithm and the result is the string deck : 6f0673e902934a136fab077e0aac0ae999de400b0da0a89681d9a6023d886d079885447400f6519e2d5975eca80454c743849f2f5cbcbe8a26f6d96e8bc41c9d

First card is "6f". '6' is the card rank as an Hexadecimal Digit. We convert it to a decimal number and add 1. The result is 7 which is the card rank. 'f' is the card suit as an Hexadecimal Digit. We convert it to a decimal number, divide it by 4 and discard all digits after the decimal point. The result is 3, which represents the Club suit. The first card is therefore 7 of Club.

Second card is "06", which is A of Heart.

Third card is "73", which is 8 of Spade.

Fourth card is "e9". The card rank is 'e'. We convert it to a decimal number and add 1. The result is 15. Since there is no such card it is ignored and we move on to the next card "02", which is Ace of Spade. Since this card is already out from the deck (we hold it), it is skipped as well and we move on to the next card "93" which is Ten of Spade.

The final card is "4a" which is 5 of Diamond.

We have a pair Aces against a pair of Queens, and go on to win the bet.

Additional Notes :

  • Your bet will confirm as soon as the bet transfer is received and the cards will be dealt as soon as there is 1 confirmation in the block chain for your bet transfer. Under certain conditions the cards will be dealt instantly with 0 confirmation for established qualified clients.

  • We deduct 0.0001 BTC from All-In Poker payouts to cover the Bitcoin transaction fees. Please note that this fee is only deduced when you bet on All-In Poker with Bitcoins. We do not deduct fees for Sport bet winnings or on All-In Poker bets placed with other coins.

Direct Dice

Direct Dice is a Provably Fair block-chain based dice betting game where your goal is to predict the roll of the dice.

What Provably Fair means is that there is no way we can cheat you by picking numbers to make you lose. The roll of the dice is completely random and you can verify that after the completion of the game.

To verify a Direct Dice roll, go to your Bet Status, reveal the bet secret and then click on Verify next to the result.

To achieve a Provably Fair Direct Dice the following technique is used :

When you order a Direct Dice bet we generate a random secret that is used to generate the dice roll. Obviously we can not reveal the secret before the dice is rolled because this will allow you to know in advance the outcome of the roll. Therefore, we scramble the secret in a special technique called hashing using SHA256 cryptographic algorithm and present the hashed secret in the Bet Status page. The only way to reproduce the hashed secret is by hashing the original secret. Later on, after the game is over, we will reveal the original secret used, and you will be able to hash it yourself and verify that the result is identical to the hashed secret presented to you before the roll of the dice. This will prove that we did indeed used the secret that was designated to your bet.

To ensure that we don't know in advance the outcome of the dice roll, we add another random value which is not in our control, and that is the transaction ID of your bet transfer, as it appears in the block chain.

The Direct Dice is then rolled as follows :

We create a string that includes your bet transfer transaction ID followed by the number of the bet in the transaction followed by the original secret. If your bet transfer transaction includes a single bet, the number of the bet is 1, otherwise if you send multiple bets in the same transaction the bet number is the index number of the bet output in the transaction where the first bet gets the number 1 and all non bets outputs are not counted. We hash the string result using SHA512 cryptographic algorithm. We then take the first 5 characters of the result, which are 5 Hexadecimal Digits, and convert them into a decimal number. Finally, we multiply that number by 101 and divide it by 1048575. All digits after the decimal points are discarded and the result is The Lucky Number which is a number between 0 and 101.

The probability to roll any number between 0 and 100 is identical to all numbers and is equal to approx. once every 101 rolls. The probability to roll 101 is approx. once every 1 million rolls.

If the Lucky Number is 0 the bet will always lose. This is the house edge which is equal to 0.99%.

If the Lucky Number is 101 the bet will always win. If the bet stake is at least 0.01 BTC, 0.5 ETH, 1 LTC, 1 DASH or 10,000 DOGE and is not part of a losing Toto ~ Parlay slip, the bet will also be eligible for the current Jackpot, as advertised on our website. To claim the Jackpot prize you will need to post your winning bet slip in our Bitcointalk thread.

If the Lucky Number is between 1 and 100, the outcome of the bet will be determined based on the user selection.

Additional Notes :

  • Your bet will confirm as soon as the bet transfer is received and the dice will be rolled as soon as there is 1 confirmation in the block chain for your bet transfer. Under certain conditions the dice will be rolled instantly with 0 confirmation for established qualified clients.

  • We deduct 0.0001 BTC from Direct Dice payouts to cover the Bitcoin transaction fees. Please note that this fee is only deduced when you bet on Direct Dice with Bitcoins. We do not deduct fees for Sport bet winnings or on Direct Dice bets placed with other coins.

Golf

  • Each Way Bet is a combination of Top 5 and Winner bets. If the player wins the tournament, you will get paid in full based on the bet odds. If the player finishes 2nd - 5th, you will get a fraction payout of 1 / 4 of the bet odds.

Horse Racing

  • General

    • All individual race bets will be determined according to the official result at the time of the 'weigh-in' announcement (or equivalent). Subsequent disqualifications, appeals or amendments to the result will be disregarded.

    • If a race is abandoned or otherwise declared void, or in the event of a walkover, all bets on that race will be void.

    • If the scheduled venue is changed, all bets will be void.

    • Where a race does not take part on its scheduled day, all bets will be void.

    • If a scheduled surface type is changed (e.g. turf to dirt) all bets will stand.

  • Ante-post

    • Subject to the points below, in ante-post bet type, all bets on an individual horse stand whether the horse runs or not.

    • No 'DirectBet Non-Runner Rule' reductions are made to ante-post bets.

    • All relevant bets will be void where an event is: abandoned and not rescheduled; or postponed and rescheduled to another venue; or postponed and rescheduled to another day at the same venue with entries for the race being reopened or reverting back to a previous entry or declaration stage provided any additional horses are entered or re-entered and such entries or declarations are considered, in DirectBet’s absolute discretion, material to the betting on the race. For the avoidance of doubt, where a race is postponed and rescheduled to another day at the same venue, relevant bets will stand where entries/declarations at the time of postponement remain unaltered or include any non-material addition(s) prior to the rescheduled race.

  • Place Terms

    • The number of winners in 'to be placed' bets is as set out in the Bet Type Information and is determined with reference to the number of runners known to DirectBet.

    • Once determined, the number of winners in 'to be placed' bets will not be affected by further non-runners.

    • If the number of winners stated in the Bet Type Information is equal to or is greater than the number of runners, all bets in this market will be void.

    • If the number of placed horses is less than the number of potential winners listed in the Bet Type Information, the winners will only be the placed horse or horses.

  • Winning Distance Bets

    • Unless stated otherwise in the Bet Information, winning distances' bets are on the sum of the winning distances from each race on one particular day at a race meeting.

    • The winning distance in a race will be the officially declared distance between the first two horses past the post. However if either the first or second horse past the post is disqualified because: (i) of an incorrect weight carried; (ii) they have taken the wrong course; (iii) the jockey of either horse fails to weigh in, or weighs in light after the race; then in each case the winning distance shall be that between the first and second horse under the official result.

    • For the purpose of this bet, the maximum distance on any individual race will be 12 lengths for Flat races and 30 lengths for National Hunt races (which includes National Hunt Flat Races) and these distances will be applied where only one horse finishes a race. For distances below half a length, the following scale will be applied:

      • Nose: 0.05 length

      • Short-head: 0.1

      • Head: 0.2

      • Short-neck: 0.25

      • Neck: 0.3

    • If a meeting has three or more races abandoned or declared void, then all 'winning distance' bets will be void, unless the entire market has been unconditionally determined.

    • When only one or two races are abandoned or declared void, then 'winning distance' bets will be settled with a default distance used for each abandoned or void race. The default distances are 2 lengths for Flat races and 10 lengths for National Hunt races.

    • In the case of a walkover the following distances will be applied:

      • Flat: 5 lengths

      • National Hunt: 12 lengths

  • Non-Runner Rule

    • DirectBet's non-runner rule relates to the adjustment of odds on bets already confirmed when a horse in a race is declared a non-runner. In order to make the adjustment DirectBet applies a reduction factor to the remaining runners. The reduction factor allocated to a non-runner is a calculation (the details of which are described below) of that horse's chances of winning (or being placed, etc as appropriate) and is applied to bets already confirmed on the other runners in the relevant bet type.

    • Any horse listed when the relevant bet is confirmed which does not subsequently come under starter's orders is deemed to be a non-runner.

    • Each horse is given a 'reduction factor', based on a forecast price, which is expressed as a percentage. These reduction factors may be updated periodically at the discretion of DirectBet based on trading in the market, but after approximately 15 minutes (approximately 5 minutes for Australian markets) from the scheduled 'off' time of a given race, they will be updated only in exceptional circumstances. The current reduction factor percentage for each horse can be viewed on the Bet Information page on the DirectBet website or by asking the Helpdesk.

    • Reductions will be made to both win and place bets and horses will have a different reduction factor for each bet type.

    • As soon as DirectBet becomes aware that a horse is an official non-runner or a highly likely non-runner, following a statement to the press from connections, the following will happen:

    • All confirmed bets on that horse will be void and the horse will be removed from betting.

    • The odds of all the confirmed bets on the remaining horses will be reduced by an amount equal to the non-runner's final reduction factor.

    • All the reduction factors on the remaining horses will be adjusted to reflect their improved chance of winning.

    • Reduction factors are not applied to bets which are struck in-play. However, if the betting is turned in-play prematurely by error (or, for example, there is a false start), all bets confirmed during this time will be subject to any later reduction factor, provided the betting is turned out of play before the race commences. In the event of a late withdrawal, DirectBet reserves the right to remove the runner after completion of the race. In this case only those bets confirmed prior to the off will be affected by a reduction factor.

    • In the event of a non-runner being removed from a race in error or following incorrect information regarding a runner’s participation, DirectBet will reinstate both the runner and all previously confirmed bets associated with that runner. All bets made between the time of withdrawal and reinstatement will be void. The reduction factor applied to confirmed bets at the time of withdrawal will be reversed and the original odds will become valid.

    • Any non-runners will be removed from the relevant bets in the order in which they are brought to DirectBet's attention. If DirectBet becomes aware of more than one non-runner at the same time, it will remove the non-runners from the relevant bets in racecard order.

    • If a runner is not included in a race bet because of an error or because of incorrect information regarding a runner’s participation, DirectBet reserve the right to introduce the missing runner into the race bet at any time prior to settlement (even after the race has been run), provided that DirectBet has determined that the missing runner is not a material runner (i.e. a runner with a reduction factor of approx. 2.5% or less in the race winner bet). In such circumstances, all pre-play confirmed bets will stand, however if the runner is not introduced before the start of the race, all in-play bets will be void. If the missing runner is deemed to be a material runner, then all bets will be void and a new race bet will be offered where possible.

  • How the Reductions are applied

    • Reductions will be made on the bet confirmed odds.

    • For example: if the non-runner's final reduction factor is 25% the confirmed odds on all previously confirmed bets on other horses will be reduced by 25% - confirmed odds of 8.0 would become 6.0 etc. And these might be further reduced if another horse is subsequently declared a non-runner.

    • The confirmed odds may be further reduced if any other horse(s) is subsequently declared a non-runner, however odds cannot be reduced below 1.01.

    • Reserves: A reserve runner may appear in the relevant race bets but will have a non-applicable reduction factor until DirectBet has received confirmation that it is a confirmed runner, in which case an applicable reduction factor may apply to it.

    • For the avoidance of doubt, any reduction factor applicable to a non-runner replaced by a reserve will be applied to all relevant bets prior to the removal of such non-runner by DirectBet. Likewise, should a reserve runner become a confirmed runner but subsequently become a non-runner, any reduction factor applicable to such non-runner will be applied to all relevant bets prior to the removal of such non-runner by DirectBet.

  • Additional rules

    • Card numbers are posted as a guide only: bets are placed on a named horse.

    • Horses will not be coupled.

    • Where any horse(s) runs for purse money only it is deemed a non-runner for betting purposes. Should this result in the number of possible winners stated in the relevant Bet Information being equal to or greater than the number of runners in the relevant market, all bets in the market will be void.

Ice Hockey

  • All bets on "Regular Time" will be settled on the result at the end of regular time, excluding overtime. All bets on "Moneyline" will be settled at the result at the end of regular time including "overtime and any shootouts that may be played".

  • 'Puck Line' (Handicap), Total Goals (Under / Over) and Correct Score bets for NHL (National Hockey League) matches will be settled on the final result including any overtime and any shootouts that may be played. For the avoidance of doubt, a shoot-out victory will count as one goal. On all other matches these bets will be settled on the result at the end of regular time, excluding overtime.

  • If a match does not start on the scheduled start date and is not completed within three days of the scheduled start date, all bets will be void except for those which have been unconditionally determined.

  • If a match starts but is later abandoned or postponed then, within three days of the scheduled start date, (a) at least 55 minutes of play must have elapsed in any match; or (b) an official result must be 'called' by the relevant governing body; otherwise all bets will be void, except for those which have been unconditionally determined. In these instances, if the scores are tied then for "Moneyline" matches (where no tie is offered) dead heat rules will apply to bets on the outright match winner.

Motor sport (which may include, amongst others, Formula One, Superbikes and Speedway)

  • If a race is abandoned and no presentation position or official result is declared all bets on that race will be void except for bets which have been unconditionally determined.

  • If the scheduled venue is changed all bets will be void.

  • On "head-to-head" bets (i.e. match bets) the driver/rider who finishes ahead or completes the most number of laps is deemed to be the winner.

  • In Speedway, bets will be void if all scheduled heats or races of a meeting or match are not completed except those which have been unconditionally determined.

  • In any case where there is no podium presentation, but the Bet Information states that settlement of the relevant bet will be based on the result at the time of the podium presentation, then the bet will be settled on the official result of the relevant governing body regardless of any subsequent disqualification or amendment to the result (except if an amendment is announced within 24 hours of the initial settlement of the relevant bet in order to correct an error in reporting the result).

Olympics

  • The final medal table declared by the governing body will be used to settle all bets. Any subsequent changes will not be taken into consideration.

Politics

  • Trump Exit Date bet is on when will Donald Trump officially cease to be the President of the United States of America. This includes, but is not limited to, if Donald Trump leaves office due to death (excluding assassination), incapacity, illness, impeachment or resignation (or anything comparable). All bets will be voided if Donald Trump ceases to be President of the United States of America due to an assassination or an assassination attempt.

Rugby Union and Rugby League

  • Unless otherwise specified, all bets apply to Regular Time only.

  • There are two types of Match Odds bets : 'Regular Time Match Odds' which applies to Regular Time only and 'Match Odds - Golden Point' with Golden Point Overtime included. If the name of the bet is 'Match Odds' and it has a Draw option, it applies to Regular Time only, otherwise without the draw option Golden Point Overtime is included.

  • 'Tournament points' and 'tournament tries' bets will apply to all playing time, including any extra-time in any match where an official result is declared.

  • For 'time of first try' bets, if the try is scored in the second half, the first half is deemed to have lasted 40 minutes, regardless of stoppage-time. If no try is scored, or the try is scored in second half stoppage-time or extra-time, the result is 80.

  • For the purpose of bets involving tries, penalty tries will count with the exception of 'first individual try scorer' bets where penalty tries will not count.

Snooker and Pool

  • In the event of a match starting but not being completed, the player progressing to the next round will be deemed the winner (or in the case of the final the player declared the winner).

  • If a match is not completed for any reason then bets on 'any correct score' or 'next frame' will be void.

  • If a match is not completed for any reason, bets on any handicap will be void unless they have been unconditionally determined.

Soccer

  • Unless otherwise specified, all bets apply to Full Time according to the match officials, plus any stoppage time. Extra-time/penalty shoot-outs are not included.

  • If a match has not started (or if DirectBet believes that a match will not have started) by 23:59 (local time) on its scheduled start date, then all bets will be void unless DirectBet has knowledge that the match has been rescheduled to be played within three days of its original start date.

  • If a match starts but is later abandoned or postponed and DirectBet believes that the match will not have been completed by 23:59 (local time) on its scheduled start date, then all bets, with the exception of any unconditionally determined bets, will be void unless DirectBet has knowledge that the match has been rescheduled to be played within three days of its original start date. If DirectBet does have knowledge that the game will be played within three days and the game is played within three days, then all bets will stand except if the match is restarted from the beginning. If the match is restarted from the beginning then all bets matched before the game started will stand, but any bets placed after the game started will be void, except for any bets placed in-play which have been unconditionally determined, which will stand.

  • For Friendly matches, all bets apply to the full duration of play according to the match officials, plus any stoppage time. If a friendly match starts but is later abandoned or postponed and is not completed (i.e. the full duration of play according to match officials, plus any stoppage time) within three days of the scheduled start date, all bets will be void except for those which have been unconditionally determined. In the case of ambiguity over the official result from match officials, the outcome will be determined by DirectBet (acting reasonably) using information from independent sources.

  • If an official fixture lists different team details to those listed on the DirectBet website (for example, the team name, reserves, age group, gender, etc), then all bets will be void. In all other cases, bets will stand (including instances where a team name is listed without specifying the term 'XI' in the name).

  • If a team is disqualified, thrown out or otherwise removed from a league, one of the following will apply:

    • If this happens before the relevant season has started, all affected bets will be void (except for those which have been unconditionally determined);

    • If this happens after the relevant season has started, all affected bets will stand and the team will be deemed to be relegated and all bets on that team will be settled accordingly (assuming, of course, that it is not subsequently reinstated before the end of the season).

    • The relevant season will be deemed to have started once the first league game has been played. For the purposes of this rule, bets relating to individual matches will not be deemed to be "affected bets".
  • 'Shirt numbers' bets will refer to the shirt number allocated at the start of the match. 'Shirt numbers' bets will include own-goal scorers. Any player whose shirt bears no number will be allocated the number 12.

  • For 'time of first goal' bets, the first half is deemed to last 45 minutes, regardless of stoppage time. Also for these bets, please note that the "0 - 10 Minutes" selection covers the first 10 minutes of the match. In other words, it runs from 0:00 until just before the clock hits 10:00. The "11 – 20 Minutes" selection runs from 10:00 until just before the clock hits 20:00. The same principle applies to each of the other selections for this bet.

  • 'First Goalscorer' and 'Last Goalscorer' bets will be void on any player who takes no part in the match or who comes on as a substitute after the 1st goal has been scored. Own goals do not count. All bets stand even if the scoring player is not listed at the time of betting or when no goals are scored. When no goals are scored the winning selection is 'No Goalscorer'.

  • For 'top goalscorer' bets only the goals scored in the league or competition stated in the Bet Information count. For example, if a player joins a club mid-season any goals scored in a different league will not count, however goals scored for a different club in the same league will count. Own goals will not count.

  • In bets which relate to the number of incidents to occur, such as 'number of corners', these will be determined on the basis of the number taken, rather than awarded.

  • For bets that relate to the number of bookings given, the number of corners taken, any goalscorer or the time of a particular goal, the result will be determined by DirectBet (acting reasonably) using information from independent sources. In such cases, if any new information comes into the public domain within 72 hours of settlement, then DirectBet shall (acting reasonably) determine either: (i) whether the bet should be reinstated or resettled in light of this new information; or (ii) to wait for further information before deciding whether to reinstate or resettle the bet. Except where DirectBet has announced that it is waiting for further information, any information that comes into the public domain more than 72 hours after a bet has been settled shall not be considered by DirectBet (regardless of whether or not such information may have led to a different result).

  • To Score bets are on whether the named player will score in the game. Own goals do not count. The player does not need to play the full match, with bets standing if the player plays any part in the match. DirectBet will void all bets on players not playing.

  • In 'Second Half Correct Score' bets you have to predict the score in the second half of the match. For the purpose of determining the score of the second half, the score will be considered to be 0-0 at half-time. All bets apply to Full Time according to the match officials, plus any stoppage time. Extra-time/penalty shoot-outs are not included.

  • Cards Under / Over bets are on how many cards will be shown during the match. One Yellow = 1 Card, One Yellow and One Red = 2 Cards, Two Yellows leading to a Red Card = 2 Cards, One Red = 1 Card. Maximum 2 cards per player. Cards will only count which are shown to players after they take to the pitch for the first time and before they leave the pitch for the final time.

  • Booking Odds Bets are on how many bookings will there be during the match. 10 points are awarded for a yellow card and 25 points for a red. Two yellow cards leading to an automatic red will score as one yellow and one red card. Maximum 35 points per player. Cards will only count which are shown to players after they take to the pitch for the first time and before they leave the pitch for the final time. All bets apply to Full Time according to the match officials, plus any stoppage time. Extra-time/penalty shoot-outs are not included.

  • Asian Handicap bets are grouped together and listed under the Asian Handicap market and may result in a win, lose, push, half win or half lose. For example, an Asian Handicap bet on Team A + 1 will result in a push if Team A lost by exactly one goal, a win in case of a draw or if Team A won, and a loss if Team A lost by 2 goals or more. An Asian Handicap bet on Team A + 1.25 is equivalent to half a bet on Team A + 1 and half a bet on Team A + 1.5. In this case, if Team A lost by exactly one goal, half of the bet is pushed and the other half wins for a total result of half win.

  • European Handicap bets are different from Asian Handicap bets in that there is no possibility for a push. For example, if you bet on Team A + 1 and Team A lost by exactly 1 goal, you lose the bet. If on the other hand you bet on Draw on the Team A + 1 market then your bet is a winner. Betting on Team A + 1 in European Handicap Team A + 1 is equivalent to an Asian Handicap bet on Team A + 0.5.

  • Manager To Go ? special bets are on whether or not the named manager will be sacked, or otherwise leave his position as the manager of his team before the last game of the league season. This bet will be settled using official information provided by the club.

  • Next Manager To Leave Position special bet is on who will be the next league manager to resign, be sacked, or otherwise leave their position.

    • Subject to paragraph 2. should a manager leave their position on a temporary basis, and a new appointment be made as ‘interim’, ‘caretaker’, ‘temporary’ (including an appointment described as ‘to the end of the season’) or similar, this will not constitute as the manager leaving their position for the purposes of this bet.

    • Notwithstanding paragraph 1, an individual appointed on an ‘interim’, ‘caretaker’, ‘temporary’ (including an appointment described as ‘to the end of the season’) or similar basis who remains manager in that capacity for at least 10 completed consecutive League games will be considered to have replaced the existing first team manager for the purpose of this bet and DirectBet will settle the bet accordingly. However during this time if a different manager vacates their position permanently then they will be classified as the winner in this bet.

    • The actual reason for leaving the position will not be relevant for the purpose of this bet.

    • This bet will be settled using official information provided by the first club to make an announcement. If more than one manager leaves their respective positions as first team manager at around the same time, the manager from the club that announces his departure first will be deemed to have left first. DirectBet will not be under any obligation to contact the relevant manager’s club. DirectBet reserves the right to wait for further official announcements before the bet is settled.

    • If a club do not call the currently appointed individual their first team manager, whoever is responsible for picking the first team will count towards this bet and be listed as a runner. In the event of any ambiguity over the next manager to vacate their position, DirectBet may determine using its reasonable discretion how to settle the bet based on all the information available to it at the relevant time.

    • If no manager has left their position by the start of the first game of the last round of scheduled league fixtures then the ‘No Manager to Leave’ option will be deemed to be the winner.

    • All league managers as well as ‘No Manager to Leave’ option are possible outcomes for this bet. However, not all of them may be available for betting at all times.

    • DirectBet expressly reserves the right to suspend and/or void any and all bets on this bet at any time in the event that DirectBet is not satisfied (in its absolute discretion) with the certainty of the outcome.

  • Next Manager special bet is on who will be appointed as the next first team manager of the named club.

    • Subject to paragraph 2, an appointment described by the named club as ‘interim’, ‘caretaker’, ‘temporary’ (including an appointment described as ‘to the end of the season’) or similar, will not constitute first team manager.

    • Notwithstanding paragraph 1, an individual appointed by the named club on an ‘interim’, ‘caretaker’, ‘temporary’ (including an appointment described as ‘to the end of the season’) or similar basis who remains manager in that capacity for at least 10 completed consecutive Domestic League games (including over the course of more than a single season), will be considered to have been appointed as the next first team manager for the purpose of this bet and DirectBet will settle the bet accordingly on that person.

    • The actual duration of the manager’s contract will not be relevant for the purpose of this bet.

    • This bet will be settled using official information provided by the named club. DirectBet will not be under any obligation to contact the named club for confirmation regarding the nature of the appointment. DirectBet reserves the right to wait for further official announcements before the bet is settled.

    • In the event that the named club change the structure of their management team and do not call the appointed individual first team manager, DirectBet will settle the bet on the individual who is responsible for picking the first team. In the event of any ambiguity over the appointment, DirectBet may determine using its reasonable discretion how to settle the bet based on all the information available to it at the relevant time.

    • DirectBet expressly reserves the right to suspend and/or void any and all bets on this market at any time in the event that DirectBet is not satisfied (in its absolute discretion) with the certainty of the outcome.

  • Player Next Club Specials bets are on which club will the named player transfer to on a permanent basis during the stated transfer window. For the purpose of this bet loan deals DO NOT count. If the named player does not transfer to a new club on a permanent basis during the stated transfer window then “No transfer” will be settled as the winner.

  • 'Mythical Matches' bets are on who will win this mythical match. This bet is based on goals scored by each team in their respective scheduled fixtures on the stated date. For example, If Brazil were to score 2 goals in their match and Colombia were to score 3 goals in their match, the mythical match Brazil v Colombia would be settled as a Colombia win. All bets apply to Full Time according to the match officials, plus any stoppage time. Extra-time/penalty shoot-outs are not included.

Tennis

  • If a player or pairing retires or is disqualified in any match, the player or pairing progressing to the next round (or winning the tournament in the case of a final) will be deemed the winner. However if less than one set has been completed at the time of the retirement or disqualification then all bets relating to that individual match will be void.

  • All bets relating to the number of occurrences of certain events within a tournament will be void if the tournament is reduced in length, postponed or cancelled, except for those which have been unconditionally determined.

  • All bets will stand regardless of changes to scheduled venues, including any changes to a different type of surface.

  • If the scheduled duration of a match is reduced or increased in the number of games/sets required to win, all bets will be void except for those which have been unconditionally determined. Please note that this does not apply to ‘Match Odds’ or ‘Set Winner’ bets on Davis Cup matches or ‘dead rubber’ matches that have been shortened from five sets to three sets after the bet has been confirmed, provided that the match has been shortened in accordance with the competition’s rules.

  • Where bets are offered on individual games or sets within a match, a retirement or disqualification during a game or set will render bets on that game or set, and all individual game or set, void, except those which have been unconditionally determined.

  • If a player retires before the completion of the match all game handicap bets will be void, except those which have been unconditionally determined.
  • The special 'Player Progress' bet is on which stage of the tournament will the stated player be eliminated.

  • Any player substitution during the match WILL NOT have any impact on the way the bets are settled.
